St. Anthony Parish 2025 Advent Mission Day 2, Making Room in the "Inn" of Our Hearts - Westbrook

In his recent apostolic exhortation (October 2025), Dilexi Te, Pope Leo XIV who spent more than two decades as a missionary and bishop in Peru, wrote: “Our prosperity can make us blind to the needs of others and even make us think that our happiness and fulfillment depend on ourselves alone, apart from others. In such cases, the poor can act as silent teachers for us, making us conscious of our presumption and instilling within us a rightful spirit of humility.” Local author Jared des Rosiers reads his beautiful story, “A Letter to Joseph of Arimathea: The Innkeeper’s Story.” Then, based on his own personal experiences in serving the homeless and needy as the pastor-driver of the parish food truck in Providence, Rhode Island, Bishop Ruggieri will provide some practical suggestions to us on how we can make room for others, especially those most marginalized, in the “Inn” of our hearts.
