Bishop Ruggieri's Schedule

Bishop James Ruggieri will celebrate the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion at three churches across Maine during the first weekend of Lent.

Join Bishop James Ruggieri for a Rosary Rally at the statehouse in Augusta on Thursday, February 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The rally, which is being held to show support for Catholic values, will take place while the legislature is in session.

Men from across Maine are invited to attend the annual Maine Catholic Men's Conference, which will be held March 7, 2026, at both the St. John's Community Center in Brunswick and at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Presque Isle.

In his homily on June 1, Pope Leo XIV said “...families become privileged places in which to encounter 
Jesus, who loves us and desires our good, always.” 

Join us at the St. John's Community Center, 43 Pleasant St. in Brunswick, on April 18th for the annual Maine Catholic Women's Conference. The theme for this conference is Walking Together in Faith and Doubt which will touch on importance of community during both the joyful and sorrowful seasons of our lives. The day will include talks from Christine Marie Eberle, witness talks, a chance to shop local Catholic vendors, opportunities for Confession and private prayer.  The day will conclude with Mass celebrated by Bishop James Ruggieri.

The 18th Harvest Ball is set for Saturday, October 24, at the Holiday Inn By the Bay on 88 Spring Street in Portland. The ball, hosted by Bishop James Ruggieri, will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, the music and great company.
