Those who are feeling a sense of loss this holiday season are invited to Surviving the Holidays, an evening that will offer comfort, understadning, and practical support during this time.
As we prepare our hearts for the Advent season, women are invited to attend Our Lady of the Valley Parish's third annual Advent by Candlelight, which will be held Tuesday, November 18, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the St. Agatha Church hall.
Stop in at the parish hall following the 8 a.m. Mass on Sunday, November 30, to participate in making an Advent wreath.

A second and more penetrating look at the deep spiritual meaning behind Christmas Carols, both familiar and less known. Did you know that the Twelve Days of Christmas is a musical catechism? This will be an opportunity to prayerfully listen to and sing together these wonderful carols. A complementary wine and cheese reception will follow.

In such cases, the poor can act as silent teachers for us, making us conscious of our presumption and instilling within us a rightful spirit of humility.”

A Christmas dessert reception will follow
