Maine Catholic Women’s Conference focusing on sisterhood and faith with “Loved as I AM”

The 11th Maine Catholic Women’s Conference, a joy-filled opportunity for women ages 16 and older to come together to celebrate their Catholic faith, will be held March 16 at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland.

The conference attracts women from all corners of the state, drawn by the spiritual energy they find there and the opportunity to connect with one another and form new friendships.

“My sister and I attend the Maine Women’s Conference every year. As sisters by birth, we look forward to joining with our sisters in Christ for what is always a wonderful and uplifting day of prayer and reflection” Carolyn Houston from Holy Spirit Parish in Wells says. “In a world that can be so divisive, it is refreshing to be part of something that brings women together.”

The featured speaker, Danielle Bean, is a Catholic author, podcast host and mother to eight children with her husband. “I am thrilled to be part of the Maine Catholic Women's Conference. There's so much we can learn from one another about our unique identities as daughters of God. I look forward to connecting with all the beautiful Catholic women of Maine as we come together to encourage and support one another in faithful Catholic living." Bean says.

During the conference, women can visit vendors, go to confession, and celebrate community with other Catholic women. The conference concludes with Mass celebrated by Bishop Robert Deeley.

The conference is proudly presented by the Diocese of Portland’s Office of Lifelong Faith Formation in cooperation with the Maine Catholic Women’s Conference Planning Committee.
