Development Office

Drawing our strength from the Eucharist, the Development Office provides philanthropic opportunities to build financial resources inspiring donors to share abundantly and joyfully so that they may serve and sustain the Church’s mission.

The Development Office is responsible for the success of all fundraising efforts of the Diocese of Portland ensuring these efforts are donor-focused and internally integrated. The office exercises this responsibility for diocesan fundraising: by carrying out programs for annual funding (the Catholic Appeal), planned giving, and major gifts; by providing fundraising technical support to parishes, schools, and other entities of the Diocese; and by employing best development practices for donor relations (including, but not limited to, prospect identification and qualification, cultivation, stewardship and solicitation), direct mail, communications and data management.
