Blessing of the Animals - Augusta

St. Michael Parish will offer a Blessing of the Animals in honor of the Feast of St. Francis on Friday, October 4, at 5:30 p.m. outside the Western Avenue entrance of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Augusta.

The parish invites those who attend to bring an item in support of area pets in need. Items may include pet food and pet supplies that will be donated to the Amy Buxton Pet Pantry at South Parish Congregational Church, which provides temporary assistance of pet food to families suffering financial hardships, low-income seniors, and disabled and homeless individuals so that pets are not surrendered to an animal shelter or abandoned.
