St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick is searching for a passionate, caring, and student-centered professional to teach Music to grades pre-K through 8th grade. The teacher will work in a faith-filled, dynamic, and collaborative environment with other professionals. The ideal candidate is a practicing Roman Catholic who is passionate about students and building a faith-filled foundation for our students.

Requirements & Expectations:

  • Maine Certification (or eligibility) in Music (614)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to teach general music PreK – 8
  • Ability to teach chorus/choir
  • Ability to teach instrumental lessons (band and/or strings)
  • Responsible for music ministry at weekly Mass
  • Ability to teach band after school 2 days/week (negotiable)
  • Christmas Pageant Coordinator
  • Spring Visual & Performing Arts Concert Coordinator
  • Experience with some Ecclesiastical Latin preferred

St. John’s is a PK – 8 Catholic elementary school in Brunswick, Maine. Founded in 1883, St. John’s is the Parish School for All Saints Parish, representing Midcoast Maine. We serve students and parishioners from seven Roman Catholic churches from Boothbay to Newcastle, Richmond, Bath, Harpswell, and Brunswick.
