Director of Parish Mission

The Director of Parish Mission is a professionally qualified minister who reports directly to the pastor and who assists him in coordinating and directing all formational efforts in the parish. This includes overseeing a robust campus ministry program at the University of Maine in Orono, fostering and building a nascent youth and young adult ministry, coordinating parish liturgical/sacramental ministry, and coordinating adult formation opportunities.

He/she works closely with the FOCUS missionaries, the UMaine student organization (Black Bear Catholic), members of the wider UMaine community, parish staff, and volunteers. He/she is a person of faith committed to Gospel values and evangelization. He/she values the organization and responsible management of resources, and helps the Church fulfill its mission and purpose.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least two years of ministerial experience, experience with the FOCUS model of community ministry as well as experience working/living on a college campus.
