Bishops, priests, deacons, religious, and family and friends gathered at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough to pray for and with Bishop-elect Ruggieri.

Bishop James Ruggieri, who is fluent in Spanish, will celebrate Mass in Spanish on Sunday, May 26, at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Portland. Sacred Heart is the spiritual home of the Hispanic community in the greater Portland area.
Anastasia Shoulta, who had been serving as interim head of school and has been part of the Mount Merici Academy for 16 years, will take over as head of school May 1.
