The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception was filled with joy for the celebration of Jesus' Resurrection.
Bishop James Ruggieri presided on the most solemn day of the liturgical calendar, the Passion of the Lord.
"The Holy Spirit that we receive through sacramental anointing is meant to penetrate our hearts," said the bishop.
During the Mass, celebrated on the Wednesday of Holy Week, the bishop ceremonially distributes the holy oils blessed and consecrated during the Chrism Mass.
Bishop Ruggieri continues exploring the Paschal Mystery with the key question, "Why did Jesus die?"
