It is a tradition in Rome that on the Third Sunday of Advent children bring “Bambinelli," Baby Jesus figurines from their family Nativity scenes to St Peter’s Square for the Pope to bless them.  Catholic churches throughout the world have begun to join in this tradition, and this year the Parishes of the Western Maine Lakes & Foothills will do so as well.

St. Paul the Apostle Parish will offer to opportunities to enjoy the sacred music of the season at St. John Catholic Church, 217 York Street in Bangor.

Join in the Festival of Lessons & Carols, an evening of Scripture, music, and prayer, followed by mince pies and refreshments on Friday, December 12, at 6 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 429 Main Street in Old Town. All are welcome! 

Prince of Peace Parish will present a beautiful Advent tradition, the Festival of Lessons & Carols, on Sunday, December 7, at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Church in Lewiston.

A "Keep Christ in Christmas" Public Prayer Rally will be held at the Farmer's Market on Main Street in Madawaska on Saturday, December 9, at noon
