Children will put on a  Nativity play before the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress Street, Portland, on Sunday, December 24.

Children from St. Michael Parish will present a Nativity play on Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m. at St. Denis Church, 298 Grand Army Road in Whitefield. The play will also feature music from the choir. It will be followed by Christmas Eve Mass at 6 p.m.

St. Bernard Church in Rockland will have a children’s Nativity reading with music by the choir at 3:30 p.m. followed by the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Vigil Mass. All youth are invited to participate. Please contact [email protected] to sign up.  
 

Bishop James Ruggieri will celebrate the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion at three churches across Maine during the first weekend of Lent.

Our Lady of Hope Parish will hold its annual “Blue Christmas” service on Wednesday, December 17,  at 6:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Avenue.
