A children's Christmas pageant  will precede Christmas Eve Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls.

Please join in praying for the sanctity of life during a Prayer Service for Life on Sunday, January 26, from 2 pm to 4 pm, at Holy Martyrs of North America Church, 266 Foreside Road in Falmouth.  

Share the spirit of the season with joyous Christmas carols! Christmas carolers are invited to gather at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception's Guld Hall at 5 p.m. for pizza before heading out around 5:45 p.m. to bring the sounds of Christmas to the neighborhood around the cathedral and to Portland's Old Port.

Join St. Christopher parishioners as they celebrate Gaudete Sunday with their annual wassailing tradition. Carolers will gather at the church at 4 p.m. and then carol outside homes.

Sunday vespers and lessons will be prayed on the Sundays of Lent beginning March 16 at 5:30 p.m.. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress Street in Portland.  

A jubilee year happens every 25 years in the Catholic Church. Bishop Ruggieri will celebrate an opening Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 10 a.m.

Bishop Ruggieri will preside at the installation of Father Robert Lupo as pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at 6 p.m.

Bishop Ruggieri will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception at 12:15 p.m. at the Cathedral.
