The Diocese of Portland’s Office of the Tribunal is leading presentations and discussions on the annulment process in the Catholic Church during workshops held across the state.
They will gather on Friday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., just like the third Friday of every month, in the hall of St. John Church in Bangor to cut, iron, sew, and of course, chat.

Sunday, July 28, 2024, is the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Established by Pope Francis in 2021, the day is celebrated annually on the fourth Sunday of July near the liturgical memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus.
With the halls and walls at St. Benedict Church decorated by volunteers and staff, over 40 children in Benedicta were able to spend a week walking the “cobblestone streets” in Babylon, learn about Daniel’s courage, and grow on their own faith journeys during the Vacation Bible School on June 26-30.
