About 30 students along with teachers, parents, and grandparents gleaned apples at Wallingford's Orchard in Auburn, which were then made into applesauce and donated to food banks.

The fall series of Theology of the County will begin on Tuesday, October 17, at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Chapman Street in Presque Isle.
There will now be additional Sunday Masses and additional confession times to provide greater opportunities for the faithful to attend Mass.
The theme of the retreat is "Becoming Men of Light."

In commemoration of the passing of Saint Francis from earthly life to eternal life, Prince of Peace Parish will hold a Transitus service led by Bishop James Ruggieri at 6 p.m. at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul, 122 Ash Street in Lewiston.
The registration deadline for the Fall Sacred Music Conference is October 3. The conference is open to directors of music, cantors, and volunteer choir members from around New England.
