The Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord celebrates the birth of Jesus, Christ and Lord, who is the Savior of the world, in Bethlehem: "The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."

Children will put on a  Nativity play before the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress Street, Portland, on Sunday, December 24.

Children from St. Michael Parish will present a Nativity play on Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m. at St. Denis Church, 298 Grand Army Road in Whitefield. The play will also feature music from the choir. It will be followed by Christmas Eve Mass at 6 p.m.

St. Bernard Church in Rockland will have a children’s Nativity reading with music by the choir at 3:30 p.m. followed by the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Vigil Mass. All youth are invited to participate. Please contact [email protected] to sign up.
