In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis Assisi, students will gather in the schoolyard of St. James School in Biddeford for morning prayer, during which there will be a Blessing of the Animals service. Students, accompanied by their family members, are invited to their pets to school to be blessed.  

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, a Blessing of the Animals service will be held outside St. Joseph Church, 110 School Street in Gardiner, at 5 p.m. All are invited to bring their pets to be blessed and sprinkled with holy water.

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, St. Peter the Fisherman Parish will hold its first annual Blessing of the Animals Prayer Service on the front lawn of Holy Name of Jesus Church, 8 Free Street in Machias, at 4 p.m.

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis Assisi, known for his care for all of God's creatures, a Blessing of the Animals prayer service will be held at 4 pm. outside St. Augustine Church, 75 Northern Avenue in Augusta.

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, a Blessing of the Animals Prayer service will be held at noon at St. Mary Church, 144 Lincoln Street in Bath.

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, a Blessing of the Animals Prayer service will be held at noon at  St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick.

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, a Blessing of the Animals service will be held outside Holy Family Church, 145 Pritham Avenue in Greenville, at noon.

In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Francis Assisi, known for his care for all of God's creatures, a Blessing of the Animals prayer service will be held outside St. Christopher Church on Peaks Island on Sunday, November 8, at 3 p.m.

Bishop Robert Deeley will celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord, the birth of Our Savior, with a Christmas morning Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress Street in Portland.
