St. Joseph Parish will be hosting an Advent wreath making opportunity for families in the hall of St. Joseph Church, 133 Middle Street in Farmington, following the Sunday, December 3, 10:30 a.m. Materials to make the wreaths will be provided along with printed prayers and light refreshments.

The popular Theology in the County fall series continues on November 28 with a presentation on "The Desires of Every Human Heart" by Father Brad Morin, director of the Office of Vocations for the Diocese of Portland.

Celebrate the beginning of Advent with wreath making, crafts, and other fun activities on Sunday, December 3, following the 9 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Church.

Father James Plourde will lead Evening Prayer followed by a 20-minute Scripture meditation on Sunday, December 3, at the Christian Life Center, 444 U.S. Route One in Frenchville.

Solemn vespers will be prayed at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, December 7, at 5:30 p.m., the eve of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of the cathedral and the Diocese of Portland. A reception with desserts will follow in Guild Hall.

Advent by Candlelight, an opportunity for women to set aside the season’s busyness and focus on the true meaning of Christmas, will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the hall of St. Agatha Church, 379 Main Street in Saint Agatha.
