The St. Monica Club is a prayer group for wives and mothers who gather each month to pray for the conversion of their husbands and children. Meetings will begin in the Holy Martyrs chapel with prayers and reflections and conclude with social time in the hall. Meetings will be the first Thursday of the month.
A Prayer Service for Life will be held Sunday, January 21, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Holy Martyrs of North America Church, 266 Foreside Road in Falmouth. The service will include the Rosary for Life and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. There will also be time for silent eucharistic adoration and contemplation. This prayer service is sponsored by the OLH/POTHE ACTS Ministry. Bring your families and friends, and join us in praying for this important cause.
Starting January 14, the Parish of the Holy Eucharist will recite the Nine Days for Life Novena prayer following weekend and daily Masses at each of its four churches: Holy Martyrs of North America in Falmouth, Sacred Heart in Yarmouth, St. Gregory in Gray, and St. Jude in Freeport . As part of the kick-off for Catholic Schools Week, Holy Cross School in South Portland will host an Open House on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Open House follows a 10 am Mass celebrated by Bishop Robert Deeley at Holy Cross Church.
St. James School in Biddeford will hold an open house in celebration of Catholic Schools Week.
