In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the Parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord will hold the Blessing of the Animals at Holy Redeemer Church in Bar Harbor on Saturday, October 5, at 9 a.m.  

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, Father Bill Labbe, pastor of St. Matthew Parish, will offer a specal Blessing of Pets on October 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church in Limerick.

In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, Father Bill Labbe, pastor of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, will offer a special Blessing of Pets at noon at Holy Family Church, 66 North Avenue in Sanford.

Cheverus High School, a Jesuit-run college preparatory school in Portland, will hold an open house on Saturday, October 5, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

St. Anthony of Padua Parish will celebrate the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi with a Blessing of the Animals prayer service on Sunday, October 6, at noon in the parking lot of St. Faustina Church, 370 Main Street in Jackman.

Holy Family Parish will hold the Blessing of the Animals on Friday, October 4, at 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Holy Family Church, 145 Pritham Avenue in Greenville. The Blessing of the Animals is traditionally held around the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, which is October 4.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception will host the Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 6.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the Blessing of the Animals will be held on the lawn of St. Louis Church in Portland on Saturday, October 5.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Christopher Parish will hold a blessing of the animals prayer service at St. Christopher Church, 15 Central Avenue on Peaks Island.
