The title of monsignor, with the rank of Chaplain to His Holiness, was granted to Msgr. Jean-Paul Labrie and Msgr. Frank Murray by Pope Francis, just before his passing.

After 98 years, the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary will no longer be serving the Lewiston community. The remaining two sisters are retiring and leaving Maine.
Held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, the African Festival featured music, dancing, food, and Mass celebrated by Bishop James Ruggieri.
