College Outreach Minister
Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes, Portland
Under the guidance of the Director of the Portland Catholic Center for Faith and the Rector, the College Outreach Minister leads pastoral outreach to college students in the Portland area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Outreach to college students who are associated with the life and ministry of the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes.
- Mentoring and training of college student leaders, supporting their efforts to build up Catholic life in Portland.
- Collaboration with college student leaders in the organization of various liturgical, social, and service activities.
The College Outreach Minister reports directly to the Director of the Portland Catholic Center for Faith and works at the Pastoral Office, which is located at the Cathedral property on 307 Congress Street in Portland.
The position is part-time, non-exempt (10 hours/wk)
The successful candidate is a practicing Catholic who supports the mission of the Church and has a strong understanding of the Catholic faith. He or she should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
