Free Thanksgiving dinners to be served in Houlton, Norway, and Saco
Three Maine parishes will host free community dinners on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, to which all are invited.
HOULTON---St. Mary of the Visitation Church, located at 110 Military Street in Houlton, will host its annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Hall, located behind the church. You can eat in or take out. Anyone who doesn’t want to eat alone, cook a large meal, or spend money on a big dinner is invited!
NORWAY---St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish invites community members to gather at noon in the hall of St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 32 Paris Street in Norway, for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Anyone who wants to share a meal with friends, neighbors, and family is invited. If you need a meal delivered or know someone who does, please call the parish in advance at 207-743-2606.
SACO---The Knights of Columbus will sponsor the 24th annual free Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the hall of Most Holy Trinity Church, 271 Main Street in Saco. A turkey dinner with all the fixings, including dessert and beverages, will be served. Free takeout and delivery are also available. Orders for delivery must be placed in advance by calling the parish office at 207-282-3321, ext. 100, before Monday, November 21, at 4 p.m. There is no charge for the dinner, but anyone wishing to donate to it may send a check to the Knights of Columbus, P.O. Box 1487, Biddeford, ME 04005. Checks should be made out to Knights of Columbus with turkey dinner noted on the memo line.
