Maine Catholic Women's Conference

It is with great joy that the Diocese of Portland, in collaboration with the Maine Catholic Women’s Conference Planning Committee, anticipates hosting the 11th Maine Catholic Women’s Conference on March 16, 2024, at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland. The conference is a joy-filled opportunity for Catholic women ages 16 and older to come together to celebrate their Catholic faith.

Group activities are planned from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting with prayer and a presentation by our featured speaker, Danielle Bean, and concluding with Sunday Mass presided over by Bishop Robert P. Deeley. Doors open at 8:30 am to allow time to enjoy a light breakfast, visit the vendors, go to confession, or talk with other Catholic women from around the state.

Cost 

The registration fee is $85. If paying online, there is an additional $4 convenience fee/per person to cover the cost of processing digital payments. The registration fee includes the venue, speaker, a light breakfast and lunch, and supplies for the event. Limited partial scholarships are available. All registrations are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the diocese, though substitutions may be made in advance by calling the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation at 207-773-6471.

Event Parking 

Parking on March 16 during the event (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) is available in the lot next to the hotel at a cost of $10 per vehicle.

Overnight Accommodations

A limited number of hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn By the Bay for March 14, 15, and or 16, 2024, are available at a special conference rate of $130/night (plus applicable taxes and $15/night parking fee with unlimited in and out privileges). The special conference rate is available until our room block sells out or February 12, 2024, whichever comes first.

3:30 pm Break and prepare for Mass

4:00 pm Mass with Bishop Robert Deeley (meets Sunday obligation)

5:00 pm Closing announcements and departure
