Sister Lucille Huot, SCIM

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sr. Lucille Huot, SCIM, (Sister St. Paul d’Avila) who went home to her eternal reward on December 30, 2015, at the age of 92.  Sr. Lucille was a members of the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, also known as the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec.

Sister Lucille taught for 26 years in secondary schools in Biddeford and Van Buren, Maine, and in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  She also served as a secretary in the Quebec Generalate and then in the Provincialate in Maine for another 12 years.

Born in Biddeford in 1923, Sister Lucille was the seventh of eight children. She attended St. Joseph School in Biddeford for both her elementary and secondary school education.  She entered the Congregation of the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1941.  She then earned a bachelor’s degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass., and a master’s degree from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass.

Visiting Hours are Monday, January 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, January 5, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Convent, 409 Pool Street, Biddeford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 5, at St. Joseph Convent at 11:00 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Biddeford, ME.

Please pray for the repose of her soul and the consolation of her families (natural and religious.
