Sister Anita Therrien, SCIM
Please prayer for the repose of the soul of Sr. Anita Therrien, formerly known as Sister S. Pauline-du-Redempteur, who died on Sunday at the age of 92.
Sister Anita was born on February 6, 1924, in Lawrence, MA, the eldest of three daughters born to Adelard and Albea (Letarte) Therrien.
She entered the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, more commonly known as the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec, in 1944 and later earned her B.S. degree in Education from Saint Joseph's College in Portland and her M.S. degree in Secondary School Administration from Niagara University in New York. She also took courses from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and the University of Notre Dame.
Sister Anita spent her life in the fields of education and administration. She taught at St. Joseph School in Biddeford and St. Joseph School in Old Town as well as at St. Anne School in Lawrence, MA. She served as principal of St. Joseph School in Biddeford and as Provincial for the community.
