Sister Dolores Cyr, O.P.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Dolores Cyr, OP, (nee Rolande Cyr) who died on Friday, April 13 at age 71.  Born in Lewiston in 1947, she entered the Dominican Sisters in 1979 after staying home to help her parents raise her eight younger brothers and sisters.  She was professed in 1982 in Sabattus.  Sister Dolore’s ministry was in health care, working in nursing home facilities in Iowa City, Des Moines and Riverside, Iowa and in Lewiston Maine. In 2010, she returned to Maine to take care of her mother and was assigned to the Sabattus Community.

Wake:  Monday, April 23, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Fortin Funeral Home, 70 Horton Street in Lewiston
Funeral:  Tuesday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, 1080 Lisbon Street inLewiston
