Sister Mary Catherine Perko, SSS

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sr. Mary Catherine Perko, SSS, who died unexpectedly on May 1, 2018.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Sister Mary Catherine was 90 years old, having been a professed member of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament for 63 years.  She pronounced her vows on November 21, 1955, at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Waterville.  Sister Mary Catherine graduated from the College of New Rochelle, NY and Fordham University School of Law.  As a religious, she studied Biblical Theology for five years at the Gregorian University in Rome.

Sister Mary Catherine served her community as the Superior General for 12 years, as well as local superior in Waterville for six years.  Her ministry of presence was greatly appreciated by many.  She will be great missed by her religious sisters, her natural family, and many friends.

May her soul and the soul of all the faithful departed rest in peace.  Amen
