Father Seamuus Keebler, OSA, Prim
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Reverend Seamus Keebler, OSA, Prim, 70, who died on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in DeLand, Florida, where he led the monastery of the Augustinian Monks of the Primitive Observance.
Fr. Seamus had previously led similar monasteries in Maine, in the town of St. Francis and on Peaks Island.
Father Seamus was born in 1948 and raised in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. He was ordained a diocesan priest in Washington in 1975 but felt drawn to the cloistered life. When he was living in Massachusetts, he was invited to open a monastery in the Diocese of Worcester. Then, in 2005, he relocated to DeLand.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 359 W New York Ave, DeLand on Monday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m.
