Sister Rosemary Donohue, SNDden
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Rosemary Donohue, a member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, who died peacefully on September 21, 2020, at the age of 78. She had just recently celebrated her 60th year of religious profession.
Sister Rosemary served as the superintendent of Maine Catholic Schools for 21 years, beginning in 1993. Before that, she taught at schools in New York and Maryland, and then became principal of a school in her home state of Pennsylvania. She then served as coordinator for curriculum and testing for the Archdiocese of Miami.
While serving in the Diocese of Portland, Sister Rosemary oversaw the construction of the new St. Dominic High School in Auburn. She also served as the chair of the New England Chief Administrators of Catholic Education and as an executive committee member for the National Catholic Education Association.
After leaving the Diocese of Portland, she served as the supervisor of the Teachers-in-Training Program at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore.
Please pray for the consolation of her religious family, her natural family, and her many friends. Funeral services will be private.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
