Our Lady of Hope Parish plans White Light Memorial

Those wishing to remember and honor their loved ones this Advent season are invited to participate in Our Lady of Hope Parish’s Christmas White Lights Memorial.

The shrubs, trees, and wreaths around St. Joseph Church, 673 Stevens Avenue in Portland, will be decorated with white lights, each in honor or remembrance of a special individual. Then, prior to the 4 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve, all are invited to gather on the front lawn of the church for a lighting ceremony.

There is a suggested donation of $2 per light. If you are interested, contact the parish at 207-797-7026 or mail a donation to Our Lady of Hope Parish, 492 Ocean Avenue, Portland, ME 04103. Please mark the envelope Christmas Lights and be sure to include the names of the people you wish to honor. Donations can also be made online.
