A Memorial Day Message from Bishop James Ruggieri

Memorial Day is a day to remember and honor all our military men and women who died in service to our nation.  Today, in a special way, we pause and give thanks for their lives and their courage.  Today, many will attend Mass and pray for our beloved deceased soldiers.  As we pray for them, we do so in hope.  Our Catholic Christian Faith gives us hope, and hope affords us the ability to be consoled by the truth that the “souls of the just are in the hand of God….” (Wisdom 1:1). May those who served our nation so faithfully rest in the peace of Heaven.
