Part-time Art Teacher

St. Thomas School in Sanford, Maine is seeking an energetic Catholic art teacher to develop and execute a robust art program for students in grades PK-8 during a mid-year transition. The successful applicant will have a vision and enthusiasm for helping our students engage with all aspects of art, especially sacred art. The candidate must have experience establishing a positive classroom culture and be willing to contribute to a collaborative, collegial staff environment. Qualifications: 

• Degree in art education, art, or related area
• Holds or is eligible for Maine Department of Education Certification 
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, parents, community, and school personnel
