The Parish of the Holy Eucharist is seeking an Organist for its 3 Novus Ordo weekend Masses at Holy Martyrs Church, Falmouth, Maine. The instrument is a Rodgers Trillium 837 Classic Organ gifted in 2002 designed to bring a sense of elegance and vitality to the sanctuary of the church.

The ideal candidate will possess strong liturgical playing skills on organ (preferred), piano or both, fostering a reverent and sacred liturgical experience. He/she will plan and execute liturgical music; will actively recruit, train and schedule cantors; will lead and rehearse the small, volunteer 4-part schola which sings twice monthly at Sunday liturgies; and shall engage the congregation’s full, active and conscious participation with a commitment to incorporating music from the vast Catholic treasury and traditional hymnody. This position requires familiarity with chant and antiphons, or a willingness to learn. Rehearsals with choir/cantors occur before Mass, in addition to a weekday evening rehearsal every other week. He/she will also be responsible for providing music on Holy Days (Vigil and Day), Parish-wide liturgies, Sacrament Masses, and seasonal musical events and be available for weddings and funerals. Fr. Steven G. Cartwright. The Parish is known for its outstanding sacred music program, First Saturday Latin Mass, traditional training of altar servers, and family faith formation model.
