Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Auburn is seeking a Pastoral Administrative Assistant. The Pastoral Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Parish. This position also includes administering the Parishes Protecting God's Children program. This position is up to 25 hours per week and is an hourly position.


Essential Duties:

  • Scheduling Liturgical Ministers, including lectors, Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion, and Sacristans.
  • Answering phones, greeting, and assisting visitors.
  • Ordering supplies for the Parish.
  • Processing Sacramental certificate requests.
  • Preparing the Weekly Announcements.
  • Coordinating and scheduling Hall rentals, including any paperwork needed.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the parish bulletin.
  • Reporting for Protecting God's Children to the Diocese for the parish. This includes helping new Volunteers complete the required. paperwork and set up Virtus accounts.
  • Supporting various Parish fund-raisers and events, including the Christmas Fair.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of administrative assistant experience required.
  • Experience in a parish office preferred.
  • Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church preferred.
  • Customer service skills required.
