40 Days for Life
40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion through prayer, fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigils in front of abortion facilities.
Prayer keeps us rooted in the fact that it is our desire to carry out God's will. Fasting is a sacrifice that helps us connect more deeply with our spiritual lives and helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God's help. Community outreach provides us with an opportunity to educate those around us. And the peaceful vigils are designed to send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion.
Peaceful, All-Day Vigils
The vigils are the public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life, and in Maine, three are planned. If you are interested in participating, the locations and contact information can be found below.

At the rally, participants in the 40 Days for Life vigils are invited to share their experiences of how God is using their peaceful, prayerful experience. Bishop James Ruggieri will speak at the rally.
