Jesus was best known as a healer, and the ministry of healing remains an important part of the mission of the Church. The need for healing comes in many forms, personal and social. Healing ministry can also come in many forms and is a gift that all of us can give in our own way. At this service, we will celebrate this gift and place before God the needs of our world and church and the individual needs of people. The service is modeled on a similar service which has been held each week since 1939 at Iona Abbey in Scotland. The service will be on November 19 at 6:30 p.m. St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Avenue in Portland. The church has a large, well-lit parking lot. This service will also be livestreamed at the parish website www.ladyofhopemaine.org
