The Catholic faith has long looked to a deeper understanding of the world and the cosmos through scientific exploration and inquiry. The Portland Catholic Center for Faith Fall Conference is in an invitation to learn more about the beautiful harmony of faith and science.

St. Mary of the Visitation Parish will hold a Blessing of the Animals prayer service, sponsored by the Heart of St. Francis Secular Franciscan Fraternity, on Saturday, October 4, at 1 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Mary of the Visitation Church in Houlton.
