Lectio Divina

Spiritual reading of sacred Scripture is an important form of meditation. This spiritual reading is traditionally called lectio divina or divine reading. Lectio divina is prayer over the Scriptures.

Lectio divina consists of a reading (lectio); a meditation in which you try to enter into and visualize the Biblical scene and reflect upon its meaning for your life; prayers, often of thanksgiving or petition; and then contemplation and a closing prayer.

Below you will find lectio divina for the coming weeks.
