Bishop Robert Deeley will celebrate Mass at St. John the Baptist Church on 39 Pleasant Street in Brunswick at 11 a.m. to launch Catholic Schools Week across Maine.
Bishop Deeley will visit the students, staff, and faculty at Holy Cross School in South Portland from 9 a.m. to noon.
All high schoolers are welcome to gather for “Attitude of Gratitude: Thanksgiving and the Eucharist” on Sunday, November 20, at the hall of Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The focus will be on increasing our thankfulness, especially for the gift of the Eucharist.
A Thanksgiving Breakfast will be held at St. Philip Church, located on 404 Goodwins Mills Road in Lyman, on Sunday, November 20, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All proceeds will benefit St. James School in Biddeford.
St. Matthew Parish in Limerick will hold a Veterans Day Mass and breakfast on Tuesday, November 11, at 8 a.m. at the church on 19 Dora Lane in Limerick. The Mass will be offered for the intentions of active military personnel and veterans, living and deceased. Following Mass, there will be a breakfast in the parish hall during which all veterans present will be given a Veterans USA Flag lapel pin attached to a “Thank You for Your Service” card.
