In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joseph Parish will hold the Blessing of the Animals at St. Joseph Church in Ellsworth on Saturday, October 5, at 9 a.m.

Join the parish on December 14 for a special Family Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 66 North Avenue in Sanford, where children will learn about St. Nick and the true spirit of giving.

Cheverus High School, a Jesuit-run college preparatory school in Portland, will hold an open house on Saturday, October 5, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

St. Anthony of Padua Parish will celebrate the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi with a Blessing of the Animals prayer service on Sunday, October 6, at noon in the parking lot of St. Faustina Church, 370 Main Street in Jackman.

Holy Family Parish will hold the Blessing of the Animals on Friday, October 4, at 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Holy Family Church, 145 Pritham Avenue in Greenville. The Blessing of the Animals is traditionally held around the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, which is October 4.

The Diocese of Portland’s Office of the Tribunal will hold a presentation on annulments at St. Catherine of Sienna Church on Tuesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. There will be a “question and answer” period, as well as an opportunity to speak privately to a canonist at the gatherings.
