People from all faith traditions are invited to gather for a special prayer service in Lewiston on Sunday, October 15, for those healing from the loss of a child, whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or other causes. October 15 is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.
A prayer service for those who have lost a child will be held on October 15 at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston and a Mass will be held October 17 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Augusta.
The day of reflection will be held in Houlton and Waterville.

The Office of Lifelong Faith Formation rescheduled ABIDE, a day of reflection for middle school students, for December 9 in Houlton and again on December 10 in Bangor. Youths in grades 6 -8 are invited to come together to discover the meaning of Jesus’ words: “Abide in me, as I abide in you” (Jn 15:4).

The Daughters of Isabella will hold their annual Harvest dinner on Saturday, October 21, at 5 p.m. in the Holy Family Parish Hall in Old Town. The menu includes roasted turkey and stuffing, homemade gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet carrots, fresh garden squash, cranberry sauce, yeast rolls, and homemade apple pie.

In celebration of All Saints' Day, a potluck supper and trunk or treat event will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 67 Frost Hill Avenue,in Lisbon Falls on Saturday, October 28, at 5 p.m.
A celebration that will include a eucharistic procession, a parish wide Mass, and a bean supper will be held on October 28.
About 30 students along with teachers, parents, and grandparents gleaned apples at Wallingford's Orchard in Auburn, which were then made into applesauce and donated to food banks.
