Evangelizing Catechesis: Forming a Lifelong Relationship to Jesus and his Church

Parish leaders, catechists, volunteers, and anyone working with and accompanying youth are invited to attend "Evangelizing Catechesis: Forming a Lifelong Relationship to Jesus and his Church" on April 1 in Brewer and April 2 in Portland.
Joseph D. White, Ph.D., an associate publisher for Catechetical Resources at OSV Publishing, will give three-in person talks during which participants will reflect on practical ways to implement evangelizing catechesis in a parish using interior life, cognitive, and behavioral goals. According to the United States Conference for Catholic Bishops (USCCB), evangelizing catechesis proclaims the kerygma, accompanies people to a response of faith and conversion to Christ, provides a systematic exposition of God’s revelation, and sends out missionary disciples. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore each of these aspects of evangelizing catechesis.
