Eucharist to Life: Sharing Our Faith on the Journey
Men from across the Diocese of Portland are invited to attend the Maine Catholic Men's conference, which will be held March 2, 2024, in Waterville.
The theme of this year's men's conference is Eucharist to Life: Sharing Our Faith on the Journey. It is an opportunity to gather as Catholic men to pray, to listen to keynotes and witnesses, and to be nourished by the sacraments to go out and love and serve God and his children. The day will also include eucharistic adoration, time for fellowship, and a concluding Mass celebrated by Bishop Robert Deeley.
Keynote Speaker
The keynote speaker for the men's conference will be Father Alejandro Lopez-Cardinale. Ordained in December of 1991, Fr. Alejandro is a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston, serving as pastor of St. Benedict Church in Somerville and parochial administrator at Sacred Heart Church in Malden, He is one of 50 people commissioned to be a Eucharistic Preacher in order to spread the message of the National Eucharistic Revival and to "enkindle the flame of eucharistic faith and devotion in the United States through kerygmatic eucharistic preaching." He served for six years as president of la RED National Catholic Network de Pastoral Juvenil Hispana (Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry).
Time and Location
The conference will be held March 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Notre Dame du Perpetuel Secours Church, 116 Silver Street in Waterville. The conference concludes with Mass at 4 p.m.
Cost and Registration
The cost is $70 per person with a special price of $85 for a father and high school-aged son who register together.
