Bishop Deeley Announces Two Priest Assignments
PORTLAND---Bishop Robert Deeley has announced the following two priest assignments. Both are effective on May 2, 2022.
Fr. Alex Boucher has been appointed parochial vicar of St. John Paul II Parish (St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Scarborough; Holy Cross Church, South Portland; St. Bartholomew Church, Cape Elizabeth; and Holy Cross School, South Portland).
Fr. Boucher currently serves as parochial vicar at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish (Holy Family Church in Sanford, Notre Dame Church in Springvale, and St. Thomas School in Sanford) and St. Matthew Parish in Limerick.
Fr. Peter Shaba, SMA, has been appointed parochial vicar of All Saints Parish (St. Charles Borromeo Church in Brunswick, St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick, St. Mary Church in Bath, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Boothbay Harbor, St. Ambrose Church in Richmond, St. Patrick Church in Newcastle, St. Katharine Drexel Church in Harpswell).
Fr. Shaba currently serves as parochial vicar of St. John Paul II Parish (churches and school comprising the parish listed above).
Fr. Shaba is a member of the Society of African Missions (SMA), an international community of missionaries founded in France in 1856.
