Free Meals, Soup Kitchens, and Food Pantries at Maine Parishes

In an effort to do all they can to help all Maine individuals and families receive the food they need, parishes across the state offer community meals, soup kitchens, and food pantries for people of all faiths to utilize.

In addition, Catholic Charities Maine’s Food Bank, supported by the annual Catholic Appeal, provides food assistance to tens of thousands of people in Aroostook County and beyond through nearly 30 food pantries. St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Gorham, Westbrook, and Windham supply 300 bagged lunches for local homeless every Tuesday. Many parishes host weekly and monthly lunches for seniors and offer food assistance on special occasions like preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.
