St. Denis Church Irish Picnic in Whitefield

St. Denis Church, 298 Grand Army Road in Whitefield, will celebrate its Irish roots with an Irish picnic on Saturday, September 16, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The picnic will feature Irish music and lots of food, including hotdogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and baked goods,

St. Denis was established in 1818 to serve a growing Irish immigrant community. It is the second-oldest Catholic church in New England, predated only by St. Patrick Church in Newcastle

The picnic will follow the 4 p.m. Mass at the church.
