Marian Trivia and Outdoor Living Rosary - Augusta
In celebration of the beginning of the Month of the Holy Rosary, St. Michael Parish will present a faith-filled afternoon of Marian trivia. The event will be held Sunday, October 1, at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium of St. Michael School, 56 Sewall Street in Augusta. Weather permitting, there will also be an outdoor Living Rosary.
October is designated as the Month of the Holy Rosary because on October 7, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, and it was on October 13, 1917, that Mary appeared to the shepherd children in Fatima for the final tme. It was during the last aspiration that Mary revealed her name, telling Lucia, "I am the Lady of the Rosary." During the apparitions, Mary had urged the children to "say the Rosary every day to bring peace ot the world."
