Saint Joseph’s College of Maine
Saint Joseph’s College is Maine’s only Catholic college, founded in 1912 by the Sisters of Mercy. Billed as the place "where community grows," its focused curriculum, values-centered environment, and rich student life programs grow leaders with the confidence to pursue their calling. “You become a better person here, not just a better student,” is how one student described his experience at Saint Joseph’s.
Classes across Saint Joseph's academic programs are small, hands-on, and career-focused. Internships, community service projects, lab research and field work are a regular part of the learning experience. This immersive learning means that whether students are on campus or online, they will find caring, engaged professors committed to their personal and professional growth.
Saint Joseph's incredible Maine location is worth a visit. Perched on Sebago Lake with its own private beach and breathtaking views of the White Mountains, Portland is just 30 minutes away and Boston is just two hours. The campus is home to championship Division III sports, clubs of all kinds, outdoor adventures, and many service opportunities.
Open houses are a great way to explore Saint Joe's. Prospective students will have the chance to take a tour, meet with faculty and current students, and hear about the admission process. To schedule an appointment for a tour or open house, contact the Office of Admissions at 800-338-7057 or visit www.sjcme.edu.
