The Peaks Island Young Players will present a 30-minute musical retelling of the story of Jonah on Saturday, November 18, at 6 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception's Guild Hall, located at 307 Congress Street in Portland.

St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 32 Paris Street in Norway, will host a free community Thanksgiving dinner for Oxford Hills residents on Thursday, November 27, at noon.

Father Dominic Savio, HGN, pastor of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish in East Millinocket and St. Benedict Parish in Benedicta, will join with ministers from other Millinocket churches on Thursday, November 2, to bless a headstone in memory of children who died during the Spanish flu pandemic more than a century ago. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in the Millinocket cemetery.
