Knights of Columbus Sekenger Council 1947 will hold a free throw championship for boys and girls ages 9-14 on Saturday, January 20, at the St. John's Community Center in Brunswick.

St. Mary of the Visitation Parish invites couples to a Celebration of Marriage Dinner on Saturday, February 10, at the parish center, 112 Military Street in Houlton. The dinner begins with hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. followed by a steak or haddock meal at 6:30 p.m. Sign-up sheets are available at the entrances of the church or if you have special dietary needs or would like more information, contact Michael Dobbs at 207-694-5684 or [email protected]. Saint Paul the Apostle Parish will be hosting a special event to celebrate the feast day of the conversion of its patron saint, St. Paul. Mass will be held at St. Mary Church, 768 Ohio Street, Bangor, at 8:30 am followed by a light brunch in the church hall. All are welcome to attend!

The St. Monica Club is a prayer group for wives and mothers who gather each month to pray for the conversion of their husbands and children. Meetings will begin in the Holy Martyrs chapel with prayers and reflections and conclude with social time in the hall. Meetings will be the first Thursday of the month. 

A Prayer Service for Life will be held Sunday, January 21, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Holy Martyrs of North America Church, 266 Foreside Road in Falmouth.  The service will include the Rosary for Life and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. There will also be time for silent eucharistic adoration and contemplation.  This prayer service is sponsored by the OLH/POTHE ACTS Ministry.  Bring your families and friends, and join us in praying for this important cause.

Starting January 14, the Parish of the Holy Eucharist will recite the Nine Days for Life Novena prayer following weekend and daily Masses at each of its four churches: Holy Martyrs of North America in Falmouth, Sacred Heart in Yarmouth, St. Gregory in Gray, and St. Jude in Freeport .
