In commemoration of the passing of Saint Francis from earthly life to eternal life, Prince of Peace Parish will hold a Transitus service led by Bishop James Ruggieri at 6 p.m. at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul, 122 Ash Street in Lewiston.

St. Anthony of Padua Parish will hold a Christmas Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 4, in the hall of St. Hyacinth Church, 268 Brown Street in Westbrook.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis Assisi, students will gather in the schoolyard of St. James School in Biddeford for morning prayer, during which there will be a Blessing of the Animals service. Students, accompanied by their family members, are invited to their pets to school to be blessed.
